Line of research:

Sjögren’s syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus

Summary

I have 3 lines of research: Sjögren’s syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus and autoantibodies. Since I earned my Master’s (1994-1997) and also my Doctorate (1999-2002), I have dedicated myself to the study of systemic lupus erythematosus, especially to the clinical aspects, autoantibody profile and, more recently, to its treatment. Since 2009, when I assumed the coordination of the Sjögren’s Syndrome Outpatient Clinic of the Hospital das Clínicas HCFMUSP, University of São Paulo Medical School, I have been studying this disease in relation to its clinical aspects, autoantibodies, comorbidities and, more recently, its treatment. In 2019, I completed a post-doctorate in Sjögren’s syndrome with the supervision of Prof. Dr. Eloisa Bonfa. I have participated in international cooperations in systemic lupus erythematosus and Sjögren’s syndrome that have resulted in the publication of several works in indexed periodicals.
