Line of Research:

Functional assessment of human movement, training and treatment of locomotor apparatus disorders

Summary

The studies are developed in the Movement Studies Laboratory and consist of:

Evaluate kinesiology, biomechanics and functional integration of sports performance, the activities of daily life and in rehabilitation, mainly in applied research.

Special attention to sports performance and injuries, the cognitive and motor changes of aging, diseases that compromise locomotion and disability prevention.

Evaluate metabolic and cardiopulmonary conditions, muscle, balance, gait and functional performance.

Effects of exercise programs on physical fitness and the main indications and contraindications.

Improve evidence from patient and athlete rehabilitation and training programs.
